Three of the 454 questions in this pack

Question 1

You are setting up Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management for a client. The client plans to add several items to the Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management system. You are required to ensure that the client can configure the items as either company owned or consignment when the client creates the items. Which two of the following actions should you take? NOTE: Each correct answer is worth one point.

  1. You should enable batch dimension.
  2. You should enable owner dimension.
  3. You should allocate a moving average costing inventory model.
  4. You should allocate a standard costing inventory model.
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: B, D

B. You should enable owner dimension. D. You should allocate a standard costing inventory model. To configure items as either company owned or consignment, you must enable the owner dimension, which tracks ownership of inventory. The batch dimension is used for tracking batches of items but does not control ownership classification. Costing models (moving average or standard) determine how inventory costs are calculated and do not affect the ability to designate ownership types.

Why the other options are wrong

  • A. Batch dimension tracks item batches for traceability but does not control company- owned versus consignment classification.
  • C. Moving average costing is a cost calculation method unrelated to ownership configuration.

Question 2

Your company uses a Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management system. You have been tasked with configuring an agreement that gives clients a specified discount per unit if they buy a certain amount of a particular item. The parameters are as follows: • 51 to 100 `" 10 %/unit • 101 and more `" 15 %/unit You configure a purchase agreement. Does the action achieve your objective?

  1. Yes, it does
  2. No, it does not
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: B. No, it does not

A purchase agreement in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management establishes pricing and terms between a buyer and vendor but does not support tiered unit discounts based on quantity brackets. To implement quantity-based discounts per unit, you must use trade agreements instead, which have the specific functionality to define discount tiers based on purchase quantities.

Why the other options are wrong

  • A. Purchase agreements do not provide the tiered unit discount functionality required for this scenario.

Question 3

Your company uses a Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management system. You have been tasked with configuring an agreement that gives clients a specified discount per unit if they buy a certain amount of a particular item. The parameters are as follows: • 51 to 100 `" 10 %/unit • 101 and more `" 15 %/unit You configure a sales agreement. Does the action achieve your objective?

  1. Yes, it does
  2. No, it does not
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: B. No, it does not

A sales agreement establishes price commitments and terms with customers but does not support tiered unit discounts based on quantity brackets. To implement quantity-based discounts per unit for sales, you must use trade agreements, which provide the specific functionality to define multiple discount tiers based on order quantities.

Why the other options are wrong

  • A. Sales agreements do not provide the tiered unit discount functionality required for this scenario.

What makes the MB-330 hard

MB-330 covers more of Dynamics 365 than any other functional consultant exam: products, inventory, quality, asset management, procurement, landed cost, sales, warehousing, transportation and master planning. Microsoft’s June 2025 refresh moved weight towards product information management and warehousing, and added the Warehouse Management mobile app as its own objective.

Product information management is now the largest domain at a quarter of the exam: released products and variants, product templates, BOM versions, category hierarchies, storage, tracking and product dimension groups, item model groups, reservation hierarchies, unit sequence groups, GTIN codes, default order settings, costing versions and trade agreements. Warehousing expects location directives, wave, load and work templates, GS1 and licence plate labels, replenishment, cycle counting, cross docking and containerisation, plus the mobile app: menus, menu items, detours and warehouse workers.

Transportation goes as far as route and rate engines, dock appointment scheduling and freight reconciliation. Inventory and asset management includes the full journal set, inventory close, quality orders and nonconformances, and asset lifecycle models, maintenance plans and work order scheduling. Landed cost and Copilot in Supply Chain Management are in scope too.
