What makes the Network+ hard

Over 40% of candidates fail their first attempt at the Network+, not because they do not know networking, but because the exam tests five demanding domains across 90 minutes and includes performance-based questions that require you to troubleshoot and configure, not just recognise correct answers.

The N10-009 is broader than most candidates expect: networking concepts, implementation, operations, security and troubleshooting are all tested, and the troubleshooting domain alone is worth 24% of the exam. Candidates who spend their study time on subnetting and OSI models and skip the operations and security domains walk out surprised. This pack has 769 practice questions for the N10-009, every MCQ and PBQ, so the question format is familiar before test day.

About the exam

The CompTIA Network+ is the vendor-neutral standard certification for networking fundamentals. It validates the ability to establish, maintain, troubleshoot and secure wired and wireless networks across enterprise environments, covering networking concepts, implementations, operations, security and troubleshooting. Current version V9, series code N10-009, launched 20 June 2024. CompTIA A+ plus 9 to 12 months of hands-on networking experience is recommended.
