What makes the SCOR hard
The 350-701 SCOR is not a straightforward multiple choice exam: it includes drag-and-drop, fill-in-the-blank and scenario-based questions across network security, cloud security, endpoint protection and more, all inside 120 minutes. It is also the core qualifying exam for both CCNP Security and CCIE Security, so failing it stalls both paths.
Heads up on the blueprint change: SCOR moved to v2.0 on 27 August 2026, and the last day to test on v1.1 was 26 August 2026. The old Content Security domain is gone, replaced by Secure Service Edge, and v2.0 adds coverage of AI and LLM vulnerabilities, post-quantum cryptography, Splunk and Cisco Secure Access. Cisco also retired the 300-730 SVPN concentration exam on 26 August 2026 and pushed its VPN content into SCOR and SNCF, so study material written for v1.1 is now testing the wrong balance.

Passing it earns the Cisco Certified Specialist, Security Core certification and satisfies the core exam requirement for both CCNP and CCIE Security tracks.
