Three of the 140 questions in this pack

Question 1

Bloomington Caregivers (BC) wants to streamline back-end processes and workflows for its employees. BC recently learned about Lightning Bolt solutions for employees at a world tour event.

Where should BC look for potential Lightning Bolt solutions?

  1. Salesforce Connect
  2. Salesforce AppExchange
  3. Salesforce Accelerator Directory
  4. Salesforce Accelerator Catalog
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: B. Salesforce AppExchange

Salesforce AppExchange is the official marketplace where Lightning Bolt solutions are published and discovered. Lightning Bolt templates are pre-built industry solutions designed to accelerate implementation, and they are listed on AppExchange for organizations to browse, evaluate, and install. This is the primary channel where BC would find ready-made solutions for streamlining back-end processes.

Why the other options are wrong

  • A. Salesforce Connect is used for integrating external data sources, not for finding pre- built solutions.
  • C. The Salesforce Accelerator Directory does not exist as a standard resource for finding Lightning Bolt solutions.
  • D. The Salesforce Accelerator Catalog is not the standard repository for Lightning Bolt solutions; AppExchange is the correct marketplace.

Question 2

Universal Containers (UC) works with a large retailer network. UC wants these retailers to start registering deals and work with UC to convert them into sales.

Which user license should the Experience Cloud consultant recommend?

  1. Partner Community Plus
  2. Commerce Portal
  3. Partner Community
  4. Platform Portal
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: C. Partner Community

Partner Community licenses are designed for external partners and resellers to collaborate with organizations. This license type allows retailers to register deals, track opportunities, and collaborate with UC on converting them into sales. Partner Community provides the essential features needed for deal registration and sales conversion workflows without the additional costs of premium editions.

Why the other options are wrong

  • A. Partner Community Plus includes additional features beyond what is needed for basic deal registration and sales workflows.
  • B. Commerce Portal licenses are intended for e-commerce storefronts, not partner deal registration and sales collaboration.
  • D. Platform Portal is designed for building custom applications and does not align with the partner collaboration use case.

Question 3

Ursa Major Solar would like to use three Record Detail components on a page to display object details for the Account, Case, and Opportunity objects for the user who is logged in to the company’s portal.

When they drop the components on the page, they are not getting the desired results.

What is causing this issue?

  1. The Record Detail component populates the recordID associated with the object for the page template, so this component will not work for this use case.
  2. The Record Detail component will only show record details for the Case object.
  3. The Record Detail component populates the recordID associated with the object for the page template, so this component will only work on the Home page template.
  4. The Record Detail component is a custom component and was not configured correctly.
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: A. The Record Detail component populates the recordID associated with the object for the page template, so this component will not work for this use case.

associated with the object for the page template, so this component will not work for this use case. The Record Detail component is designed to display details for a single record type that is associated with the page template itself. It automatically populates the recordID from the page context, meaning it can only display information for the object tied to that specific page template. You cannot use multiple Record Detail components on the same page to display different object types because each component will attempt to use the same recordID context.

Why the other options are wrong

  • B. The Record Detail component is not limited to the Case object; however, it is limited to displaying records of the object type associated with the page template.
  • C. The Record Detail component works on any page template that has an associated object, not just the Home page template.
  • D. The Record Detail component is a standard Salesforce component that does not require custom configuration; the issue is a fundamental design limitation.

What makes the Experience Cloud Consultant hard

Experience Cloud Consultant is the exam for the product that used to be Community Cloud, and most of the marks sit in two things: how a site is set up, and how external users get to see records. Salesforce sells this as a consultant exam, so the questions are requirements rather than clicks: a customer wants partners to see only their own opportunities, a support portal needs guest users to create cases, a brand needs a login page that matches the corporate site, and the right template, sharing mechanism or configuration follows from that. It is 60 questions in 105 minutes with a 62% pass mark, and the Platform Administrator credential is a prerequisite.

The exam guide is built around setup, sharing and building. Experience Cloud basics covers the use cases, licence types and the difference between customer, partner and employee sites. Sharing and users covers external user models, sharing sets, share groups, super user access, guest user security and the account and contact relationships behind partner and customer users. Digital experience setup covers Experience Builder, domains and URLs, login and self-registration, SSO and moderation. Digital experience building covers pages, components, audiences, personalisation, navigation, Knowledge, Chatter, topics, CMS content and Lightning components. Templates and themes covers Customer Service, Partner Central, Build Your Own and LWR templates plus theme customisation and branding. Adoption and analytics covers dashboards, reporting and driving engagement.

Since the exam guide changed, expect more questions on LWR sites and CMS than older material suggests.

About the exam
